Common floor scrubber scrapers on the market are roughly divided into the following categories according to their molding process and materials:

(1) Synthetic rubber, NBR, SBR, vulcanization molding.

This type of scraper is the most widely used in the industry, with low cost and simple process. The only thing that needs to be controlled is the deformation problem and dimensional accuracy. Deformation mainly includes vulcanization production deformation, packaging process deformation, and transportation process deformation.

(2) PU, vulcanized.

Due to the high cost and poor fatigue toughness of this soft rubber, only a small number of machines on the market are using it. This scraper still has the problem of making noise and turning back. And due to poor fatigue toughness, it cannot return to its original state once it is turned back for a long time.

(3) AEM+FKM, vulcanization molding. The material is hard, has good wear resistance, and the cost is high.
(4) Modified TPU, extrusion molding.
The production process of this type of scraper has technical difficulties, low production cost and high efficiency. However, on the floor with concentrated cleaning fluid, the oil, water and cleaning fluid resistance is slightly less effective, and it is difficult to recover after deformation.

Overmolding Techniques & Adhesion Requirements

SILIKE Si-TPVs Overmolding can adhere to other materials through injection molding. suitable for insert molding and or multiple material molding. Multiple material molding is otherwise known as Multi-shot injection molding, Two-Shot Molding, or 2K molding.

SI-TPVs have excellent adhesion to a variety of thermoplastics, from polypropylene and polyethylene to all kinds of engineering plastics.

When selecting an Si-TPV for an over-molding application, the substrate type should be considered. Not all Si-TPVs will bond to all types of substrates.

(5) TPU, overmolding.
