SILIKE Si-TPVs Overmolding can adhere to other materials through injection molding. suitable for insert molding and or multiple material molding. Multiple material molding is otherwise known as Multi-shot injection molding, Two-Shot Molding, or 2K molding.

SI-TPVs have excellent adhesion to a variety of thermoplastics, from polypropylene and polyethylene to all kinds of engineering plastics.

When selecting an Si-TPV for an over-molding application, the substrate type should be considered. Not all Si-TPVs will bond to all types of substrates.

Si-TPV Elastomeric Materials used in swimming industry has the following performance advantages:

(1) Plasticizer-free thermoplastic elastomer, safe and non-toxic, no odor, no precipitation and release of sticky, suitable for young and old sporting goods;

(2) No need for Soft Slip Coating Technology to obtain the lasting smooth skin-friendly, comfortable touch, product texture excellent;

(3) Flexible formula, excellent resilience of the material, wear-resistant and scratch-resistant;

4）Hardness range 35A-90A, higher color fastness and color saturation.

5) Practicality, can be recycled for secondary use.

Si-TPV is a skin safety comfortable waterproof material, its sealing performance is excellent, can prevent water into the eyes. Used for swimming goggles frame soft rubber specific gravity is light, good toughness, good resilience, tensile deformation is small, not easy to tear, waterproof anti-slip hydrolysis resistance, resistance to perspiration and acid, UV resistance, resistance to high and low temperatures, water immersion and sun exposure will not occur after the performance changes.

Si-TPV material is a class of Non-Sticky thermoplastic elastomer/ Eco-friendly soft touch material with growing application in rubber and plastic industry in recent years, environmentally friendly and non-toxic, does not contain toxic o-phenylene plasticizers, does not contain bisphenol A, does not contain nonyl phenol NP, does not contain PAHs, and does not emit odor that makes human body smell. It does not emit any unpleasant odor to the human body. It is mild and does not cause any allergic reaction when it comes into contact with the skin. Si-TPV material can provide suitable hardness, the current soft rubber TPE and silicone used in swimming goggles, the hardness is usually in the range of 45~50A, while the hardness of Si-TPV material is in the range of 35~90A, which can be chosen in a wider range.
