Application

First of all, we have to understand how the punching jacket is working, this depends on the composition of the structure of the punching jacket. The biggest role of the jacket is waterproof, windproof, plus moisture permeability and breathability.

The most important thing here is the waterproof function, so how does the punching jacket do waterproof? This is to start from the waterproof fabric.

Punching jacket fabric classification

There are mainly the following waterproof fabrics for punching jackets:

★PU coating

PU coating, is a hydrophilic fabric, the main component is polyurethane, soft touch, very good elasticity, more wear-resistant, can do a very thin coating, but water vapor can not pass through, so the permeability is poor. And with the increase of time, the waterproof effect will become worse, and it will also become hard in the case of low temperature. Characteristics of the punching jacket with this fabric are that it is inexpensive.

★Waterproof film E-PTFE

E-PTEE compound membrane is made of polytetrafluoroethylene as raw material by expanding and stretching the formation of porous membrane. Experiments have found that the PTFE membrane surface is covered with original fiber-like microporous, each square inch has up to 9 billion microporous. Its windproof principle is because of the microporous membrane structure arranged in a disorderly manner, there is no wind through the film through the required single-direction channel, the wind in the film surface formation of scattering, and thus can not pass through the labyrinth of the film structure. The size of the pore size of the microporous membrane is about one twenty-thousandth of a drop of water, so it can block the entry of raindrops, and at the same time is 700 times larger than a water molecule, so it does not hinder the evaporation of sweat discharge, which makes it waterproof, windproof, and dry and breathable.

★TPU fabric

TPU composite fabric has always been the preferred fabric for outdoor apparel due to its excellent performance, TPU fabric is a composite material formed by using TPU film or TPU Elastomeric Materials laminated on various fabrics and combining the characteristics of both, TPU fabric has the superior characteristics of good elasticity, toughness, abrasion resistance, good cold resistance, environmental protection and non-toxicity.
